The kids are both sort of skidish around dogs so I knew we would have to find a small dog to walk. Luckily Sariah’s friend Lukie has a small miniature poodle we could borrow.

Of course most of the time it seemed the dog was walking the kids, but they did have a good time.

I didn’t have thing planned for dinner so going to play at Chick-fill-a was a win win.

You wouldn’t think going on a rock hunt would be a very exciting activity but the kids were actually really in to it. They each had a bucket or bowl and we walked around the cul-de-sac on our hunt.

They hit the jackpot on our neighbor’s driveway.

When we came back home they laid out their treasures.

I asked Sariah what kind of bread she wanted to make and she picked banana bread, yum.

An hour and a half later they got to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

So we tried to get Christian to play dress up too, but he wouldn’t have anything to do with it. Oh well Sariah had a good time showing me her outfits.

Having moved recently we had plenty of boxes in the garage for a box train.

I had Sariah decorate the cars while Christian was taking his nap.

And when he woke up he was excited to get in the box train.

Playing with fizzy paints was a huge hit. They both loved painting on the concrete and using the spray bottle. I have seen the recipe for fizzy paints on a couple of different blogs and ended up using the one here. The only thing I did differently was cut the quantities in half to make a smaller amount of two different colors.

After we let the artwork dry for a couple of hours we filled a spray bottle with vinegar and sprayed the paintings to watch the fizz.

This activity was pretty cool, I think I had as much fun as the kids did.

We got home late tonight so Sariah did the connect the dots activity by herself after Christian went to bed. But it worked out fine since I am pretty sure Christian is still a little young for connect the dots.

We printed off three numbered connect the dots and one alphabet from the internet and she did them before going to bed.

Today Dad was in charge of the activity and when make magic wands was chosen he decided to go for a hike and pick out sticks to use as magic wands. They asked our friends the Jeides to come with them and where they usually decide not to join us on hikes, they were all for the idea when magic wands were mentioned.

Here is the wand Sariah picked out.

Today was a good day to pick play tag because it was more fun to play with their cousin Elodie at the house.

I think they had fun with this one.
